A socalled Nanodecoder is to be used, since they are small enough to fit. Doehler&Haass PD05A-1 decoder fits and is recommended.

Soldering guide: On the opposite side of side with the blade for the motor there are two soldering pads.
The one closest to the connector is for the power pickup. The one farther away is for the other pole of the motor.
